SmokeFree Hull offers up to a 12-week tailored program, designed to support people who want to quit smoking.

12 Week Treatment Programme

Session 1

You are not obliged to sign up or make a quit plan, you can discuss without making a commitment.

However, if you do decide to quit and sign up to our 12 week treatment programme this is what you can expect:

  • We will discuss why you smoke, why you would like to quit as well as any previous attempts you’ve made to quit in the past.
  • You will be offered a Carbon Monoxide (CO) test to measure the level of CO (a poisonous gas) in your body
  • We will discuss all products available to help you with your quit attempt including, Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), Champix and E-cigarettes.
  • You will be presented with a voucher for your chosen product(s) which you will take to the Pharmacy and this will be at your usual prescription charge (free, if you are in receipt of free prescription).

    Please note, E-cigarettes are not available on the voucher scheme.

2 – 12

When you sign up to the 12 week treatment programme you are agreeing to contact every 2 weeks (every week if you prefer) at these sessions you can expect:

  • Discussion around your stop smoking experience so far
  • Any barriers that you can identify
  • Goal setting
  • Co measure test to show how your body is already recovering
  • Help you identify difficult situations where there might be strong temptation to relapse
  • Encouragement and support
  • Discuss any problems around products and change if necessary
  • Voucher for products given
